Smooth your senses during a day of southern comfort with mother nature

The southern part of Mauritius has kept most of its wild beauty and charm. Enjoy a scenic drive and discover unique landscapes carved by the elements over time. Travel past the suburb of Floreal and drive towards Curepipe, one of the island’s main cities. As you reach the highest point in town, step down to see Trou aux Cerfs’ crater, a dormant volcano covered with lush vegetation, which also acts as a 360-degree lookout.

Then we will visit a ship model factory and diamond/ jewelry shop where you can also do shopping. Head towards the sacred lake of Grand-Bassin, a significant place of worship for Hindus in Mauritius.

Further south, discover the spectacular Black River Gorges tucked in tropical greenery. Ascend a beautiful winding road offering commanding views over the southern coast and Le Morne Peninsula.

To end with a visit at ‘ La Vallee des couleurs ‘ . Nature lovers are bound to like this place; it is a quite unique experience with the indigenous fauna and flora that abound in the park. Visitors are treated with a range of natural landscapes, including plateaus, mountains, valleys, craters and crater-lakes.

The park is also home to tortoises, monkeys, stags, fish and birds such as the Pink Pigeon, Paille-en-Queue and Câteau Vert, amongst others. Various endemic trees to the likes of Ebony, Bois de Natte, Takamaka and some other rare plants also contribute to the beauty of the park.
Cascade Vacoas, Cascade Bois de Natte, Cascade Cheveux d’Ange and Cascade Chamouzé are the four wonderful waterfalls where visitors can listen to water rustling, relax in natural intimacy and feel inner peace.

The park also offers a captivating and breathtaking panoramic view of the South Coast.

The main attraction is the fascinating 23-coloured earth whose origin dates back to millions of years following the eruption of the Bassin Blanc volcano

Activities that can be done at the park:

Quad/ Buggy Bike in the forest, Several Zipline (Including the 3rd world longest 1.5km), Nepalese Bridge and Swim in a private waterfall
